Galapagos Islands 500 Sucre Fun Note available for purchase at

The islands almost look as if no wild life could exist there but nothing can be farther from the truth. There are thousands of animals that live on these islands and many are only found here and nowhere else in the world. After all where else can you find a tortoise as big as a bathtub, giant lizards that look like dragons, or fishes with four eyes.

A famous scientist Charles Darwin explored the island and when he saw the different species that existed here, so distant from the rest of the world, he developed a very important theory – that all living beings constantly change and adapt to their surroundings… This is what we know today as the theory of evolution.

Did you know that some tortoises are saddle-back turtles? And that the word “Galapagos” actually means saddleback? However, just because they are called saddleback, doesn’t mean you can ride them – so don’t, this is another theory all together… and you may get your own Darwin Award…
